Newborn Photoshoot — What Parents Need to Know

Few experiences are as tender and emotional as a newborn photoshoot — it preserves your baby's very first days forever. Here in Tbilisi, the Emma Studio team specializes in newborn photography, drawing on years of experience to offer a safe, comfortable, and calm environment for your little one.
The ideal age for a newborn session is 5-14 days after birth. During this window, babies sleep deeply, settle easily into different poses, and still hold that curled-up, womb-like position that makes for the most tender images. That's why we recommend booking in your seventh or eighth month of pregnancy — we'll set the exact date once your baby arrives.
Safety is our top priority. The studio is warmed to 26-28 degrees, we use only hypoallergenic fabrics and accessories, and everything is fully disinfected after each session. Our photographer is certified in newborn safety and supports your baby's head and neck at all times.
What to bring: 2-3 feedings prepared in advance (a bottle, or everything you need to nurse), 2 changes of diapers, a favorite blanket or toy, baby wipes, and a comfortable outfit for yourself — you might end up in a photo or two. And don't worry: our studio has everything else, including up to fifteen different wraps, hats, baskets, and props.
One important tip: don't rush on the day of your session. A newborn shoot typically takes 2-3 hours because we follow your baby's pace — feeding, diaper changes, soothing. That's completely normal and all part of our routine. Arrive relaxed, and we'll take care of the rest.
