Interview & show filming

A person’s experience can become a compelling short film. A strong idea can become a show of its own. We develop the questions and format, direct the conversation, and film the interviews, supporting footage and episodes that make the finished production.

1 brief

An agreed subject, participants, filming window and deliverables

A good question comes first

What should viewers understandafter this conversation?

That is where we start planning an interview. We identify the audience, the central message and where the film will appear. An expert may need to explain a difficult subject; a founder may want to tell the story behind a business; a company may want people to meet the person behind its work.

A short interview film is an editorial story built from selected answers. We find an opening, a through-line and a conclusion, adding the workplace, processes and details when the package includes supporting footage. A conversation can last half an hour while the finished film delivers its main point in two minutes.

A show needs a repeatable format: who speaks, what returns in each episode, what connects the guests and how the subject develops. For a pilot, we plan the structure, the presenter’s introduction, questions and transitions. For a series, we apply that structure to several episodes scheduled into one filming day.

If you want to record a complete conversation in an established podcast format, our podcast service is the relevant starting point. This offer concentrates on editorial interview films and planned shows. The client verifies facts, terminology and participant permissions; we deliver the agreed production and edit.

From one interview to a show of your own

Choose the finished outcome

01

EXPERTS / EXPLAINERS

Expert interview film

One subject and focused answers in a concise film. Suits a consultant, specialist or company representative explaining a topic. We prepare the questions, then record the answers as a natural conversation.

02

FOUNDERS / PEOPLE / WORK

Portrait story

An interview combined with the world around the subject: a workplace, a craft, a team and the details of everyday work. Together we select the events and examples that make the person’s story specific.

03

PRESENTER / GUEST / SEGMENTS

Show pilot

One complete first programme with its own opening, recurring segments and visual style. We plan the presenter, guest, sequence of questions and any agreed presentation or demonstration.

04

BRANDS / RECURRING EPISODES

Video show series

Several episodes built around one concept and a fixed set. We prepare topics, agree the participants and recording schedule, then deliver finished episodes and short excerpts for publication.

Preparation & direction

Good on-camera conversation starts before filming.

A question list is not a script to memorise. A preparatory conversation helps us find precise examples, clarify important facts and agree topics that should stay out of scope. On set, we help the participant complete a thought, maintain a natural pace and repeat a passage when needed. The pilot and series packages include one Georgian-speaking professional presenter, approved before filming. The edit then builds a coherent story while preserving the meaning of the answers.

  • A clear brief, prepared questions and a planned direction for the conversation
  • Questions from behind the camera, or the presenter agreed in your package
  • Seating, eyelines, background and lighting prepared for the participants
  • Audio tests and continuous recording monitoring
  • Workplace and detail footage in the relevant package
  • An editorial cut that respects the speaker’s meaning and context

The work behind the film

From shaping the ideato a finished episode.

We agree what the crew will film and what you will receive. Your proposal identifies participants, the address, crew time, supporting footage and every final file.

/01

Brief & audience

We establish whether you need an expert introduction, a person’s story or the start of a recurring show. That purpose informs the running time, conversational tone and intended channels.

/02

Questions & episode structure

We develop the key questions, examples and conclusion. Shows also need introductions, segments and transitions. The client checks factual claims and specialist terminology before filming.

/03

Participant preparation

We explain eyelines, how to begin an answer and when a section can be repeated. Presenter text and editorial boundaries are agreed ahead of the shoot; a technical test happens on location.

/04

Set, background & lighting

We arrange the agreed existing space, create separation from the background and light the participants. Basic setup does not include building a new set, buying furniture or hiring a special location.

/05

Camera coverage & clear audio

We plan wide and close views, test microphones and monitor recorded sound. In a two- or three-camera arrangement, some angles are locked off; each camera does not automatically come with a separate operator.

/06

Supporting footage

Portrait stories include work processes, surroundings and details at the same address. A pilot can include a limited agreed set of local detail shots. Archive and third-party material require appropriate usage permission.

/07

Editorial editing

We select answers, remove false starts and technical pauses, and shape the story’s rhythm. Colour and audio are finished together. Reordering phrases must not give a participant words or meaning they did not intend.

/08

Titles & visual identity

We add names, roles, your logo and agreed on-screen text. Shows receive a simple opening and segment markers. Complex animation, a new brand identity or extensive data visualisation is quoted separately.

/09

Finished files & review

We deliver the main video, the package’s short edits and the agreed captions. Feedback is consolidated through one client contact, with review rounds and the first-edit deadline defined in advance.

The production process

Four steps before the story reaches the screen.

Preparation makes the filming day predictable. We agree the idea and deliverables first, then the questions, participants and schedule.

  1. 01

    Brief & format

Share the subject, audience, participant count, intended channels and target date. We select an interview, portrait story, pilot or series and define its scope and starting proposal.

  2. 02

    Questions & filming plan

We hold a preparation call and develop the questions and structure. Location noise, access, participant availability and usage terms are checked; the presenter is approved for relevant packages.

  3. 03

    Setup, rehearsal & recording

We prepare camera coverage, lighting and audio, test the setup and record the conversation. Passages can be repeated; workplace and process footage is filmed within the relevant package.

  4. 04

    Edit, review & handover

We assemble the main story and short edits. One client contact provides consolidated feedback; we complete the included review rounds and deliver the agreed files.

Good to know

The details behind the production.

How much does interview or show filming cost?

Starting budgets are 1,200 GEL for an Expert Interview, 2,500 GEL for a Portrait Story, 4,800 GEL for a presenter-led Show Pilot and 9,000 GEL for a Four-Episode Series. The final scope depends on deliverables, crew time, contributors, addresses and preparation. We agree your complete proposal before booking.

How does this differ from podcast recording?

The podcast offer is suited to recording a conversation in an established podcast format. Here, we build a concise edited interview film, a person’s portrait story or a planned show with recurring segments and supporting footage. When the needs overlap, we recommend one suitable scope and do not charge twice for the same work.

Do you prepare the questions and script?

Yes. Every package includes preparation and a question plan appropriate to its scope. Pilots and series add a concept, segments, presenter introduction and transitions. Extensive investigative research or specialist subject expertise is separate; the client approves factual information, data and technical terminology.

Are the presenter and guests included?

The pilot and series include one Georgian-speaking professional presenter for the stated hours, approved in advance. A celebrity, another language or additional hours is quoted separately. The client invites subjects and guests and covers their fees where applicable. For a short interview, our team asks the questions from behind the camera.

I have no on-camera experience. How should I prepare?

You do not need to memorise a speech. We discuss the topics and specific examples in advance, explain where to look and rehearse briefly. Questions and answers can be repeated within the agreed time. Clothing and location guidance is provided during preparation.

Do you film in a studio or at our office?

We can use an agreed existing space at your office or a selected studio. Budgets include crew travel to one Tbilisi address and basic setup. Special studio hire, new set construction, furniture transport and paid locations are not automatically included. We check noise, power, space and access before confirming the shoot.

How many cameras and operators are involved?

The first two packages use two interview views: one operated camera and one locked off. Pilots and series use three views: one operated and two locked off. Three cameras do not mean three independent camera operators. Movement, changing scenes or three simultaneously moving angles require a different crew plan and quote.

What counts as time on location?

It is the crew’s full window from arrival to packing down: setup, lighting, audio test, rehearsal, recording, short breaks and strike. Recording limits are listed separately. Late guests or an unprepared space use the same window. An additional crew hour is 350 GEL; presenter and location extensions are agreed separately.

Do short clips and subtitles come with the video?

Expert Interview includes one vertical clip, Portrait Story three, Show Pilot four and the series eight. Durations are specified in each package. Georgian captions are included on short clips; full main-film captions and other languages are separately scoped. Main-film subtitles in one additional language cost 250 GEL per started 10 minutes.

When will I receive the finished video?

First edits are delivered in 5, 7 or 10 working days depending on the package. For the series, the first episode’s first edit is due in 10 working days and all four first edits in 15. Timing starts after filming and receipt of agreed client assets. Final delivery also allows for your feedback and revisions.

How many revisions are included?

Expert Interview includes one consolidated review round; the other packages include two, with two rounds per episode for a series. A round is one combined list of feedback from a single client contact, using existing footage. A new format, fresh recording or additional filming changes the scope. An extra round costs 300 GEL per episode.

Can four different guests be filmed in one day?

Yes. The series covers four episodes at one address, using one unchanged set and an agreed guest schedule. Each episode has one presenter and one guest. The 8-hour crew day contains a recording window of up to 4 hours in total. Topics and assets are prepared in advance; another day, set or address is quoted separately.

What about raw footage, music and usage rights?

Packages deliver the listed finished videos. Raw camera and audio recordings, editing project files and extended archive storage are separately agreed. Before filming, we confirm participant consent, music licences, the brand, channels, territory and usage term in writing. Broadcast use, transfer to another brand and resale require a separate agreement.

Do you upload to YouTube and run advertising?

These packages cover production and finished-file handover. Channel management, uploading, thumbnails, an ongoing publishing calendar, advertising management and media spend can be scoped separately. We do not promise a particular number of views, subscribers or sales.
