At a christening everything happens at once: the priest reads the prayers, the baby cries or laughs, the godfather is nervous, the grandmother lights a candle, guests crowd by the door. The parents barely see this day - they are in the middle of it. And when they check their phones in the evening, they find ten blurry frames, half of them of someone's back, and the main moment - captured by no one.
In the church we work so that you forget we are there - no flash, no noise, with the priest's blessing. We know in advance where to stand during the anointing, where the font is best seen from, and when the moment will come that cannot be repeated. That is what experience is: we know the rhythm of the ceremony and follow it, never direct it.
And then comes what makes a christening a true family day: group photos with the godparents in the churchyard, portraits of the little one in the white christening gown, the feast where three generations sit at one table. Years later, this album is how you will tell your child the story of their own christening.
